Session Guide

Everything you need to know about playing a session in Dungeon Pulse.

Status Bar

The colored pipeline at the top shows what the AI is doing: recording your voice, transcribing, thinking, generating a response, and speaking. Watch it to know when to talk.

Tap to Speak

Press the big microphone button to talk to the DM. Hold or tap once to start recording, then tap again to stop. You can also interrupt the DM while it's speaking.

Switch Characters

Playing multiple characters? Use the small portrait buttons below the main character to switch who is speaking. Each character's actions are tracked separately.

DM Voice

Change the DM's voice from the settings row beneath the mic button. Choose from several distinct voices like Charon, Aria, and more.

Narration Style

Adjust how verbose the DM is. "Concise" keeps things snappy, "Balanced" is the default, and "Descriptive" gives rich, immersive prose.

Image Mode

When enabled, the DM generates scene illustrations as you play. Toggle it from the settings row. Available on paid plans.

Dice Rolling

Choose between Manual and Auto dice rolling. Manual shows a roll panel when dice are needed; Auto rolls for you with an animation.

Character & Inventory

The right panel has tabs for your character sheet, inventory, quests, party status, and session notes. Use Alt+1 through Alt+5 to switch tabs quickly.

Recent Actions

The scrollable event feed in the center shows everything that happens: DM narration, dice rolls, combat events, and scene images.

You can also access this guide from the Help button in the session header during gameplay.
